A Little Catch Up

Ella is a full time Kindergartner, Micah has adjusted to his new get to preschool early schedule and we are in the midst of soccer season. Cliff is still traveling like crazy, but we all took a week to slow down while Cliff's mom and Bruno were in town. Susan arrived on Aug 31st and we were all so excited to see her, it had been almost a year, the last time we saw her was at her wedding last fall. We spent the first couple of days just visiting around the house. Then we decided to go for a hike up Shirley Canyon. Here is Ella enjoying her lunch on a rock:

On Saturday we all went up to Northstar to walk around and hang out in the village. Ella decided to go on the bungee trampoline thing (is there a name for these things?) Here she is getting strapped in by the bungee guy:

Susan and Bruno got us a new fire pit for our backyard. We celebrated with a night of s'mores. Micah with his marshmallow:

We were sorry to see them go, but excited that we get to go back east for Christmas this year and see everyone!

Ella put on her princess get up and then decided to ride Cliff's dirt bike the other day, it was pretty cute:

Last week we went with the Hatchers down off of HWY 20 to go blackberry picking. We came home with lots of berries and lots of scratches, but we had a great time. I was going to make some jam, but all the berries just disappeared! Here are Ella and Summer picking berries:
